Black Ops 6 Zombies fans have one big complaint despite insane hype

Treyarch have finally pulled back the curtain on Black Ops 6 Zombies and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. However, there is one major complaint that’s slightly dampening the excitement.

On August 8, the new Zombies mode was shown off in all its glory, including the huge Terminus map, GobbleGums, and enemy types. The announcements were universally well-received by the community, but the mode’s HUD has come under fire.

BO6 Zombies’ display is one of the most customizable to date, offering several presets and the ability to turn off elements like damage numbers and Pack-a-Punch camos. There’s also a Legacy setting, which rearranges it to resemble the look of Black Ops 3.

However, the changes are fairly minimal, and Reddit user ‘ItzAreeb’ called for the HUD to be ‘reworked,’ as the version shown in the blog “detracts from the visuals and ambiance of the maps.”

Plenty of other players responded to criticize the HUD, with many calling for the option to totally change the display to their liking.

“It’s seriously so ugly,” said one reply. “I honestly wish they didn’t even bother showing off the HUD at all when it’s filled with crappy placeholders and looks terrible in general.”

In a separate post, ‘R9shift‘ called it out for “lacking in identity,” as it closely resembles the look and layout seen in Warzone. The OP called for Treyarch to give the HUD a makeover to make it feel more Zombies-specific.

“Can we please get more of a Zombies identity with HUD?” they asked. “I miss how it used to feel like Zombies HUD rather than warzone/multiplayer.”

However, they went on to say that this is the “only gripe” they have with what they’ve seen of BO6 Zombies so far, and this small tweak would make it almost perfect.

We’ll have to wait for Black Ops 6 to arrive on October 25 to get our first in-depth look at the Zombies HUD. We could also more get details at CoD Next on August 25, alongside announcements about multiplayer and the campaign.
