Black Ops 6 brings third-person to round-based Zombies for first time

Black Ops 6 Zombies is taking players back to the round-based roots of the fan-favorite mode, and players will be able to experience it in third-person.

This old dog will in fact be learning some new tricks in BO6 as the third-person perspective has never featured in a round-based CoD Zombies experience.

Players had the freedom to switch to a third-person perspective in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, but the mode swapped the traditional experience for an open-world environment.

In Black Ops 6 Zombies, you’ll have the option to switch between a first and third-person perspective. It’ll be up to you to decide the point of view you prefer as you take on hordes of the undead.

The new feature could prove to be a revolutionary addition to the classic round-based experience given the zoomed-out perspective could provide a better view of your surroundings. Things often get chaotic in the Zombies mode as you attempt to dip, dive, and dodge incoming enemies.

Navigating a massive Zombies map like Terminus could prove easier with a third-person perspective. Meanwhile, some players will opt for the familiarity of the first-person perspective. But having the option to toggle between the two gives players more tools than ever.

As for tools to take down Zombies, you’ll be able to combine the third-person point of view with the new Omnimovement to make the most of fleeing, fighting, or planning your next move in the Zombies mode.

Given that the option to toggle between first-person and third-person is available in Zombies, we expect it to be available in multiplayer as well, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Other new features include a highly requested save and quit option that should make long sessions more manageable as well as the Augment system that will upgrade your Perks and Ammo Mods.
