Best Saug loadout in Warzone

Sourav Banik
best Saug loadout in Warzone

The Saug is the new SMG introduced with Warzone Season 1 and using the right set of attachments will create its best loadout possible.

Thanks to its high fire rate and excellent mobility, the Saug excels in close-range engagements, particularly in tight spaces like buildings, where its TTK truly stands out. However, its effectiveness drops significantly beyond 15 meters, which is why it’s a great secondary weapon.

So, here’s the best Saug loadout to help you out in Warzone Season 1.

Best Warzone Saug loadout

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

Combining the Compensator and Vertical Foregrip will reduce the Saug’s vertical and horizontal kick, improving the recoil control of the SMG, making it much easier to land your shots when enemies are a little further away.

Long Barrel will improve Saug’s damage range. Again, a crucial factor for Warzone because unlike BO6 multiplayer, the majority of the gunfights won’t be at close range. The Extended Mag II will allow a total of 55 bullets in the magazine which means you can take down at least half of an enemy squad pretty easily.

Lastly, the Ergonomic Grip increases ADS, dive-to-fire, and slide-to-fire speeds, making you much more mobile and able to finesse opponents.

Best Perks, Equipment, and Wildcard

  • Perk 1: Dexterity
  • Perk 2: Quick Fix
  • Perk 3: Tempered
  • Wildcard: Overkill
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stim Shot

Dexterity allows you to take reduced fall damage and also decreases the weapon sway while jumping, sliding, and diving. Quick Fix is an important perk for Warzone as it immediately starts healing you after getting a kill or refilling your armor. Tempered will reduce the number of armor plates required to refill entirely – it requires two armor plates instead of three.

The Overkill Wildcard is necessary here as you’d need to keep a primary weapon with you, like the XMG. This will come in handy when you have to deal with long-range gunfights while the Saug will take care of everything at close quarters.

For Lethal and Tactical equipment, go for the Semtex and Stim Shot for quick damage and health regeneration.

How to unlock the Saug

To unlock the Saug in Warzone, you have to complete Page 3 of the Season 1 Battle Pass. Even if you don’t intend to purchase the BP, the SMG is a free unlock, just like all new weapons of every Season.

Best alternative weapon

The Jackal PDW is the best alternative weapon to the Saug. Here’s why:

StatJackal PDWSaug
ADS Time166ms183ms
Bullet Velocity530m/s525m/s
Fire rate682rpm909rpm
Hitscan Range26.5m26.3m
Swap Speed905ms1150ms

The Jackal PDW has a better ADS time, bullet velocity, hitscan range, and swap speed – all four are crucial factors in Warzone. A faster aim down sight speed means you can aim quicker. That accompanied by a fast swap speed means you can switch between weapons faster than the Saug, which is essential when you run out of bullets and want to finish an enemy off.
