But the only decision as important as your loadout is where to land, and Al Mazrah has plenty of varied locations for squads to visit straight out of the plane. Choosing the right spot is essential to victory, as that initial drop sets the tone for the rest of the match.

Luckily, the Warzone 2 developers have shared a map revealing the most and least popular landing spots in Ranked Play so far.

The former two, in particular, appear to be where the most action is in the early stages of a match, as the whole POI seems to attract a lot of players. Meanwhile, the center of Al Mazrah City, around the Highrise buildings, is a far hotter drop zone than the outskirts of the city.

These aren’t the only popular landing spots, however, as Caves and the northern part of Ahkdar Village were also marked in dark orange. Interestingly, the unnamed houses east of Al Sharim Pass are also popular, hinting that many Operators have the same plan of steering clear of the major POIs to begin with.

On the flip side, Cemetery is the least visited named location in Warzone 2 Ranked Play, as the map shows that only a small percentage of players start their game there. This is most likely due to the lack of lootable buildings compared to other places, and the fact it’s surrounded by other popular landing sites.

Fans might be surprised to see that Quarry and Airport are among the least popular named POIs in Warzone 2, especially considering that they feature classic maps from the original Modern Warfare 2. Port and the south section of Ahkdar Village are also fairly quiet to begin with, along with Fortress at the bottom of Al Mazrah.

If you prefer a more relaxed start to your matches, with plenty of time to loot and collect cash before looking for a fight, then one of these Warzone 2 landing spots is perfect for you in Ranked Play.
