Treyarch have officially dropped the first teaser for the highly-anticipated Warzone nuke event that could destroy Verdansk, giving us a look at where it could start, and a date.

Warzone Season 2 is rapidly coming to its conclusion, with players excited at the possibility of some major changes to the battle royale and its map when Season 3 officially launches.

For weeks, leakers and dataminers have been discussing a possible Nuke event that could change Verdansk forever, however, Treyarch and Raven Software have remained tight-lipped about the possibility despite the anticipation.

That all changed on April 13, when Call of Duty League caster Joe ‘MerK’ DeLuca posted an image of a gift he received from the developers, which includes some major clues about what we can expect.

In the tweet, MerK showed off a special construction helmet he had been sent by Call of Duty, completely with Black Ops Cold War and Warzone on one side. On the other, a yellow warning sign with a gas mask sits above the phrase “Verdansk Dam.”

The package also include a message, which reads: “Once the hostiles reach here, we levee a guess that Verdansk is all but gone to the damned. April 21st 12PM.”

Not only does this give us the date of the event, but it confirms suspicions that the zombies who are running rampant across Verdansk will make their way all the way from the south of the map to the north, which will trigger the apparent demise of the area.

Hordes of the undead arrived at the start of Warzone Season 2, when a ship crashed into the shore near Prison, filled with zombies. Since then, the creatures have spread across Verdansk, taking over areas like Downtown and TV Station at different stages.

Many believe this event will lead to a brand-new Warzone map, although this remains unconfirmed. A sign spotted in Superstore on April 13 appears to confirm rumors that we could be heading to a 1980s-themed version of Verdansk, but we’ll have to wait for official confirmation on that.
