A new Vanguard tip has been revealed by a TikTok video that just might improve player performance by allowing them to fire faster.

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Multiplayer can be a pretty frustrating experience if you don’t have the optimal settings for you and your playstyle.

Luckily, there is loads of information out there on the best settings to use, whether you’re on console or PC. The most recent viral TikTok tip for Vanguard is regarding a particular setting, which actually allows players to fire their weapons faster.

TikTok user dommvi posted a video concerning a certain setting in the Vanguard Multiplayer and Zombies that is ultimately causing a delay when firing weapons.

Since Call of Duty has gone next-gen, weapons now have their own particular fire thresholds and effects. For example, the Top Break Pistol’s hammer will slowly pull back and the cylinder will rotate the more players press down on the fire button.

Although this is pretty cool, and definitely adds an element of realism and immersion, it may not be the best feature for those looking to play competitively.

How to turn off Weapon Fire Threshold

In the video, the player explains that it is possible to turn this effect off through the settings.

Here’s how to do so:

  1. Go to the Vanguard settings
  2. On the “Controller” tab under “Basic Controls,” scroll down untill you find “Weapon Fire Threshold”
  3. Switch this option from “On” to “Off” and you are good to go

Turning this option off means that “the fire button will react the same regardless of the weapon used.”

You can take this even further as well. Continue through the settings until you find L2/LT and R2/RT (PlayStation/Xbox) Min Input Deadzone underneath the “Advanced Controls” section of the first tab. This will allow you to customize how much you need to pull down on the trigger until the input comes out.

For those looking to fire their weapon instantly, put both of these options to “0.” However, if this causes you trouble because your trigger gets stuck or is too sensitive, simply adjust this setting until it sits right.

Well, there you have it, that’s how you can fire your weapon faster in Call of Duty: Vanguard. For more tips, why not check out the best weapons to use in Vanguard Zombies.
