Call of Duty fans are calling for the developers to look into custom games for Vanguard to satisfy those who are looking for specific game modes, which is a feature that will be available in Battlefield 2042.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has finally been revealed, with players being able to experience gameplay as early as August 27 for the Alpha.

Vanguard is set to return some features from Modern Warfare (2019), but some players are now calling for the developers to take notes from the rival franchise, Battlefield.

Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released November 5, 2021, with players having the option to get their hands on the game early with the Open Beta. Although the game was only recently revealed, players already have a lot of information on what the game will look like.

As well as a trailer and screenshots, players were also given details on a new mode called Champion Hill, a similar mode to Gunfight from Modern Warfare.

Having said that, players are already calling for the developers to come up with a custom game browser for people to create their own game modes.

Call of Duty: Vanguard custom game browser

A Call of Duty community member posted their opinion on why Call of Duty: Vanguard should take a page out of Battlefield 2042‘s book, thinking that it’s time Call of Duty offer similar features.

“I see so much talk about how cod should always be this way or that way, but what about custom games browsers to eliminate these absolutes?”

The post talks about how bringing custom games to Call of Duty: Vanguard will ultimately give players more freedom and less to whine about when it comes to them wanting the game done in a certain way.

The post also gives a few examples:

“Do you prefer scorestreaks or killstreaks? Well, you can choose either one. Dead silence as a perk or none of that at all? Your pick. You only like the slower paced maps over the fast paced ones while incentivizing headshots for a more tactical experience? Do it.”

The post also explains how Battlefield is now adapting to this concept, as they revealed their hugely customizable Portal mode a few weeks back. Perhaps this would bring players back to Call of Duty’s Multiplayer mode, especially those who are tired of “the BR trend.”

Hopefully, we see some form of customizable modes in Vanguard, and the devs continue to listen to the community. For more on Vanguard, check out our article on a fan-favorite killstreak returning to Call of Duty: Vanguard.
