Call of Duty 2022 was shown off to NFL Draft prospects this week, confirming Modern Warfare 2. Now, Infinity Ward have shared its official logo, confirming “the new era of Call of Duty is coming.”

After the huge success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone, it was only a matter of time before it would receive a sequel. Although leaks and rumors have been swirling around CoD 2022, it was finally confirmed in February that Infinity Ward are developing sequels to both Modern Warfare and Warzone.

Although the game hasn’t been officially revealed yet, NFL Draft prospects got to see the game this week, and now its logo and official ‘Modern Warfare 2’ title have been revealed.

Infinity Ward‘s Twitter account revealed the official Modern Warfare 2 logo on April 28, 2022, with the Call of Duty account teasing “The new era of Call of Duty is coming.”

The logo shows the Modern Warfare 2019’s M and W, with the II in the classic MW2 green set between it.

In addition, the devs also teased the return of the iconic Task Force 141. This special unit of elite soldiers made its debut in 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, and it’s possible that we could be seeing some familiar faces in 2022.

We don’t know much about Modern Warfare 2’s gameplay yet, but leaks have indicated that the campaign will take players to Colombia, where US forces will be taking on drug cartels.

We’ll just need to wait for the official gameplay reveal to share more details with eager fans of the franchise.

Warzone Pacific Season 3 is also here, bringing major Caldera map changes and bringing Godzilla and King Kong to the island with the Operation Monarch event on May 11.
