The Call of Duty League appears to have accidentally revealed the dates for Champs 2020 event, which will take place online because of the on-going threat of COVID-19.

During the end of the CDL New York stream on July 12, the company had a little note up about Champs having a $4.2 million prize pool, and it showed the dates of August 29-30. It’s not officially confirmed yet if these are the dates or if it was a mistake by the broadcast team.

The company has not officially announced the dates for the meet as of now, only stating in their official announcements that the event takes place in August.

Champs will feature a double elimination bracket with all 12 teams, with higher ranked teams by standings seeing byes in first few rounds, while lower ranked teams will start in the loser’s bracket of the event.

Activision is expected to announce details on how the CDL Playoffs and Championship will work soon.
