Best Black Ops Cold War MP5 class
- Optic: Microflex LED
- Muzzle: Muzzle Break 9
- Barrel: 9.5″ Reinforced Heavy
- Body: Steady Aim Laser
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Magazine: 40 Rnd Speed Mag
- Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
- Stock: Raider Stock
This MP5 is built to combine speed and accuracy, dominating all close-range engagements in Black Ops Cold War.
It’s up to you if you enjoy the MP5 iron sight, if not, slap the trusty Microflex LED optic on it for a clearer view. For extra power at all ranges, the 9.5″ Reinforced Heavy barrel will almost transform the MP5. Your damage and bullet velocity will get a massive boost, allowing you to kill targets faster and easier track them at range.
So you can take out more targets without having to reload, the 40 Rnd Speed Mag will be a big help. With the chaos of smaller maps, minimizing the need to reload will keep you moving and make sure you’re always ready for combat.
SMGs are extremely strong up close but the damage falls off at range. To keep yourself accurate at range and control recoil, the Field Agent Grip and Muzzle Break 9 will be necessary additions to the MP5. Together, these will significantly reduce both vertical and horizontal recoil.
The Airborne Elastic Wrap and Raider Stock boost the MP5’s speed. When running around the map, this will allow you to snap onto targets and quickly strafe shoot. And for extra hip-fire accuracy, the Steady Aim Laser will help in a pinch.
This MP5 is built with the Gunfighter Wildcard equipped, but if you’d like to run more perks with Perk Greed, you should remove the Muzzle, Laser, and Stock attachments.

Best perks to run with Cold War MP5
- Perk 1: Flak Jacket
- Perk 2: Scavenger
- Perk 3: Ninja
While pushing Hardpoints and Domination flags, expect a bombardment of explosives to come your way. With Flak Jacket equipped, you’ll be able to tank an onslaught of explosives, allowing you to get that valuable time for your team.
Running out of ammo in Cold War’s multiplayer is often a death sentence. Rather than scrambling on the ground for another viable weapon to use, Scavenger gives you the ability to resupply ammo from fallen players.
And finally, while running around and getting in other players’ faces with the MP5, the element of surprise will be your biggest ally. Ninja will almost silence your footsteps, allowing you to hear enemies’ steps louder, and take them by surprise.
