12v12 mode in black ops cold war

The Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded update brought a ton of new additions to the game, but it also removed the popular 12v12 mode. This has greatly upset players who are now calling for the devs to bring it back.

Following on from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War launched with plenty of options to allow players to escape the standard 6v6 mode. The most popular one packed a whopping 24 players into maps designed for 12, leading to mayhem.

The Season 4 Reloaded update has brought a plethora of new content, like the highly-anticipated Mauer der Toten map. However, it also removed the popular 12v12 mode, much to players’ annoyance.

Now, disappointed fans are asking the devs to add it back.

12 v 12 combat in Black Ops Cold War

Reddit user jakeroseman0 logged into Black Ops Cold War after the Season 4 Reloaded update went live, only to find that the fan-favorite 12v12 mode was missing. The disappointed player highlighted this in the Cold War subreddit.

In this post, they asked the developers to add the mode back and to put it in the Quick Play section. This sentiment was shared by various other players in the comments, many of whom mentioned that it’s the only mode they enjoy.

“Yeah.. was hoping it would be hidden in quick play,” wrote one user. “But nope, guess we’ll have to wait till they add it back.”

Back during Season 3, the 12v12 Moshpit game mode ended up proving so popular that players were calling for the developers to make it a make it a permanent mode. Having more players allows for a more intense experience.

Most updates often remove old content to replace it with new additions, and this particular change isn’t going over well with fans. Hopefully, we’ll see the 12v12 mode return in the game soon enough.
