The Napalm Strike Scorestreak is under fire once again as it seems to have developed a new prolonged aftereffect that is catching Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players by surprise.

It’s very rare you’ll go one game of Black Ops Cold War without seeing the Napalm Scorestreak. It’s popular, easily achievable, and is used by many as a result.

The launch of Season 3 proved to be quite impactful with the ever-impressive Diesel and Yamantau maps and the addition of the PPSH-41 and Swiss K31. But it also broke the Napalm Scorestreak causing it to miss its mark, making it unusable.

Players haven’t reported any issues with it recently, that was until the latest example showing that the napalm is lasting longer than it actually should.

A beautiful benefit to the Scorestreak is that not only can it engulf enemies in fire and kill them instantly, but it can also be used to strategically trap the enemy team.

It leaves a deadly trail of fire that swallows the surrounding area, and if it so much as touches a hair on the enemy, then they perish instantly.

But the flames are supposed to have a set length of time before they are no longer an issue, and are unable to cause harm.

Unfortunately, instead of the flames extinguishing at their normal rate, they seem to be lasting longer than usual – as JimJamSandwich proved.

Whether it’s an issue with Season 3 we’re not sure, but in the video, the flames have clearly gone out, and the player should’ve been able to go on their merry way. Usually, even if there’s a bit of fire left, as long as it’s a small amount, you can usually run through it anyway.

But the Napalm Scorestreak seems to be having the opposite effect on CoD gamers. Again, like the last problem with its inaccurate firing, we’re sure the longevity of the napalm will be adjusted accordingly.
