Black Ops Cold War Beta Trailer: Dates & More
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Beta is almost here!
With the start fast approaching, Activision and Treyarch have announced more details on what fans can expect with the beta.
Beta Schedule + Access Info:
- Weekend 1 — PlayStation 4 Exclusive
- Early Access Begins: October 8
- Open Beta Begins: October 10
- Weekend 1 Ends: October 12
- Weekend 2 — Beta on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
- Early Access for Xbox & PC (PS4 Open Beta) Begins: October 15
- Xbox & PC Open Beta Begins: October 17
- Open Beta Ends: October 19
Players can get early access to the Black Ops Cold War Beta by preordering the game digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. No codes are required for digital preorders. When the beta is available for download, you will get access to it.
PlayStation 4 players who preordered digitally will be able to pre-load starting Tuesday, October 6. More info on when and how to come. Stay tuned.
There is no early beta access for physical/retailer preorders for Black Ops Cold War. The only way to get a beta code, besides a digital preorder, is via a giveaway (from Treyarch), Xfinity (US), or Sky (EU).
For PS4, PlayStation Plus is not required. On Xbox, Xbox Live Gold is required. PC players need a Battle.net account.
Beta Content:
The Black Ops Cold War Beta will allow players to get their first hands on experience with more modes of the game ahead of the November 13 launch.
Fans will get access to the Gunsmith customization, Operators Selection, and a host of modes, including:
- Team Deathmatch
- Domination
- VIP Escort
- Kill Confirmed
- Combined Arms
