Cold War players want to see Warzone & Vanguard anti-cheat added
As we edge closer to Call of Duty: Vanguard’s release and integration into Warzone, which promised a new anti-cheat, Black Ops Cold War players hope Treyarch’s shooter will receive the same treatment.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is about to enter its final season following a year of integration with Warzone.
With Vanguard releasing soon and the promise of a new Warzone map along with a brand new anti-cheat system that is set to clamp down on hackers, Black Ops Cold War fans are demanding the same treatment.
Most people involved in the gaming community will know about the issue with hackers and cheaters in Warzone, especially as the game is one of the biggest battle royales out there.
With that being said, it doesn’t mean that the latest Call of Duty game, Black Ops Cold War, isn’t experiencing the same issues.
Reddit user Orangeanide posted a question on the blackopscoldwar subreddit asking: “Will BOCW get the same anti-cheat when Vanguard and new WZ comes out?”
The post claims that the cheater and hacker situation in Cold War is rife and is a problem that is affecting the player experience: “I personally love CW TDM, but the cheaters are out of control. To be honest I would say in most of my games not all of them but definitely a good majority of them.”
It’s a great shame that hackers are also ruining games for Black Ops Cold War, as the problem has been well documented in Warzone but seems to have been going under the radar for Treyarch’s shooter.
Black Ops Cold War is a very popular game, and it would be awful to see it ruined by hackers after Vanguard’s release, especially as some prefer Treyarch’s style of Call of Duty over other studios: “I played the beta and didn’t like vanguard at all. So I’m hoping to squeeze more life out of Cold War,” stated Orangeanide.
There is no current official information on whether or not Black Ops Cold War will inherit a new anti-cheat system. Although the cheating is definitely not as prominent as it has been in Warzone, it still needs to be addressed.
