Call of Duty’s The Haunting event is here, and it’s brought Black Ops Cold War’s final SMG, the LAPA, to Warzone. It’s proving to be a powerful choice, so here are the best attachments and Perks to create the best LAPA loadout for Season 6.
It’s the officially spooky season in Cold War and Warzone, and Activision has released the Season 6 Reloaded update early with The Haunting event. Scream’s Ghostface has arrived as an Operator skin, and there are several challenges that will reward you with some Halloween-themed cosmetics.
The final Haunting event reward is the LAPA, Black Ops Cold War’s final confirmed SMG. We’ve got everything you need to build the best LAPA loadout in Warzone Season 6.

Best Warzone LAPA loadout attachments
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Optic: Microflex LED
- Stock: Raider Stock
- Magazine: STANAG 50 Rnd
The LAPA is quite a unique weapon as its barrels change how the weapon behaves. So, we’re deviating slightly from Warzone’s traditional Cold War SMG loadout setup.
To start, the Agency Suppressor will improve almost every aspect of the weapon, increasing its effectiveness and keeping your shots hidden from the minimap. Next, we’re going straight over to the Tiger Team Spotlight for increased mobility, allowing you to quickly dart around the map.
Unfortunately, the LAPA’s Iron Sights are quite obtrusive, so you’ll want to use a Microflex LED Optic for better awareness. But, if you like the Iron Sights, you can opt for a barrel attachment instead.
For even more mobility, the Raider Stock is a solid choice. It’ll build on the Tiger Team Spotlights benefits but also increase your sprint-to-fire time, allowing you to get your gun up quicker.
And finally, the magazine choice is completely up to you, but we would recommend the STANAG 50 Rnd mag for some much-needed extra bullets.
Best Perks to use with the LAPA in Warzone
- Perk 1: E.O.D
- Perk 2: Ghost
- Perk 3: Amped
The LAPA is best suited for close-range, so you’ll need E.O.D to defend yourself from grenades and explosives that are thrown your way.
For Perk 2, Ghost is vital for any Warzone mode. Heartbeat Sensors and UAVs are readily available, and any enemy who spots you un-Ghosted will be sure to hunt you down.
And finally, as you’ll want to use the LAPA alongside an Assault Rifle, you’ll need Amped to quickly switch between the two weapons.
How to unlock the LAPA in Warzone Season 6
The LAPA SMG can only be unlocked through completing all nine of The Haunting event’s Warzone or Cold War challenges.

Once all nine Cold War and Warzone challenges are complete, the LAPA will be yours to level up and use in either game.
Best alternatives to the LAPA in Warzone
If you haven’t unlocked the LAPA yet, or have found that it isn’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of viable SMGs in Warzone Season 6. The PPSH-41 has come into its own in the latest seasons, and the OTs 9 has remained a consistently powerful choice since its release.
