The Gracey Auto is an automatic Shotgun that lets players reel off shot after shot, and our best Vanguard loadout will help you put together the best loadout with Perks and attachments.
Call of Duty: Vanguard has plenty of smaller maps and lets players use the Overkill Perk to be able to select a Shotgun as their secondary. The Combat Shotgun has proven to be exceedingly popular, but the Gracey Auto is another solid option.
For something a bit different, and powerful once you level it up, the Gracey Auto can provide players with something a bit different.
Here’s our best Gracey Auto loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Vanguard Gracey Auto Gunsmith loadout attachments
- Muzzle: A5 Smoothbore
- Barrel: Chariot 33″ Sport
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: CGC H4
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: Extra Pellets
- Ammo Type: Slug
- Rear Grip: Grooved Grip
- Proficiency: Tight Grip
- Kit: Fully Loaded
As with most Shotguns, we want a wider pellet spread to ensure we’re achieving maximum coverage, so the A5 Smoothbore works.
The Chariot 33″ Sport is the best all-around option that doesn’t massively hinder accuracy and the usual Slate Reflector solves our optic craving.
In the stock category, the CGC H4 offers all kinds of much-needed accuracy and ease-of-use bonuses, and the Carver Foregrip offers the biggest increase to hip-fire accuracy – which we want to primarily focus on to save wasting any time ADSing.
The biggest weakness of the Gracey Auto is its damage, but this can be remedied by using the Extra Pellets magazine. Similarly, Slug ammo will also give the Gracey Auto a lot more power behind each shot.
Tight Grip allows us to be consistent with our shots whilst repeatedly firing, and Fully Loaded allows us to start with more ammo – always a bonus.
Best Perks to run with Gracey Auto in Vanguard
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Radar
- Perk 3: Lightweight
Through Spy Planes and various other means of intel, there’s plenty of opportunities for enemy players to sniff your position out, so we recommend Ghost – especially as you need to get quite close with the Gracey Auto to be truly effective.

Being able to see enemies on your minimap is always valuable information, and points you in the direction you need to go to score some kills, so for Perk 2 we choose Radar.
For Perk 3, Lightweight is ideal as we really need to close down the space between ourselves and other enemies, and Lightweight will do just that.
How to unlock the Gracey Auto in Vanguard
The Gracey Auto won’t be available to you for a while, unless you can level up quickly, but once you reach Rank 31, it’ll be yours.

Obviously, you’ll then have to grind for some time to get the desired attachments, but once you do, you’ll have a very potent fully automatic Shotgun.
