Here are the best audio and voice chat settings for Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 3, eliminating distractions and giving you the competitive edge in multiplayer matches.

Hearing footsteps, doors opening, and other audio cues are vital to dominating matches of Call of Duty: Vanguard. Picking up these sounds can give you all of the information you need, allowing you to react accordingly.

Many players have reported that the audio is far too quiet in Vanguard, which makes using the best audio settings extremely important if you want to succeed.

Vanguard is into its third season and if you haven’t already, you should make sure that you’re using the best audio settings to maximize your spatial awareness and hear everything around you.

Best sound settings for Vanguard Season 3

Call of Duty Vanguard audio settings

First, we always recommend that you play Call of Duty: Vanguard with headphones. Even with a cheap pair, you’ll have an easier time pinpointing exactly where enemies are coming from, giving you much more information than TV, monitor, or even surround sound speakers ever could.

We understand that not everyone has access to headphones, so here are the best audio and voice chat settings, no matter what you’re listening through.

Game sound

  • Master Volume: 100
  • Music Volume: 0 – 25
  • Dialogue Volume: 35 – 50
  • Sound Effects Volume: 100
  • Hit Marker Sound Effects: Vanguard
  • Audio Mix: Headphones (or whatever you primarily listen through)
  • Killstreak Music: On
  • Mono Audio: Off
  • Speakers/Headphones Game Sound Device: The audio device you wish to listen from

For the most part, Vanguard’s audio settings are mostly up to personal preference. However, there are some options that can be fine-tuned.

Vanguard Season 3 Operators

While Vanguard’s music sounds great, it does put you at a slight disadvantage when playing multiplayer. Because of this, we recommend setting the Music Volume anywhere to a maximum of 25%.

Vanguard’s announcer is very talkative, and this can be distracting when you’re racking up double and triple kills. He’s still useful for hearing about enemy Killstreaks and flags being captured, so a Dialogue Volume of 50% is the perfect middle ground.

For Audio Mix, Vanguard has limited options compared to what you can find in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. For now, you should choose the option that relates to your setup.

Voice chat

Vanguard Season 3 Reloaded map
  • Voice Chat: On
  • Speakers/Headphones Voice Chat Device: The device you wish to hear Voice Chat through
  • Microphone Device: The microphone you wish to use for Voice Chat
  • PC Only Microphone Activation Mode: Push to Talk
  • PC Only – Push to Talk (Voice Chat): V
  • Open Mic Activation Threshold: 3
  • Voice Chat Volume: 25
  • Microphone Volume: 25
  • Voice Chat Effect: No Effect

If you’re on PC, Push to Talk is a godsend with other players only being able to hear you when you specifically choose. If you’re in a party or wish to have constant communication, you can switch it to Open Mic.
