What’s the best secondary in Warzone Season 2? Every weapon ranked & tier list

Warzone Strela-P season 2

Players shouldn’t overlook the importance of a useful secondary weapon in CoD: Warzone. For Ghost users in the battle royale, here are the best secondary weapons in Warzone Season 2.

Anyone playing Warzone will generally run one of two different Perk 2 options – Ghost or Overkill. The latter is perfect if you want two strong guns to help you in different situations, but many prefer the comfort of Ghost and being kept invisible on the map.

If you prefer to run Ghost at all times, you need a secondary weapon that will be of use. Most pistols and melee weapons are pretty useless in Warzone, as most weapons will easily outgun them. However, some standout choices, such as the new Sykov, might even be better than carrying two primaries.

Here are the best secondary weapon options going into Warzone Season 3.

CoD: Warzone Season 2: secondary tier list

We’re going to take a moment to assign each of Warzone’s secondary weapons a specific tier to judge their quality.

Here is our official tier list of all of Warzone’s secondary weapons:

  • S-Tier: Sykov, Strela-P, Diamatti, Kali Sticks
  • A-Tier: JOKR, M19, X16, Knife, RPG-7 (MW), RPG-7 (CW), Renetti
  • B-Tier: 1911 (CW), .357, Cigma 2, Dual Kodachis, M79, Wakizashi, X16
  • C-Tier: 1911 (MW), .50 GS, Magnum, PILA, Sledgehammer, E-Tool

Just to explain the system, our S-Tier weapons are the top-of-the-line powerhouses, the A-Tier are great, the B-Tier weapons are just missing something, and C-Tier ones are not worth your time.

5. JOKR

Warzone JOKR

The JOKR makes it into the top five not just because of its effectiveness, but because it’s fun to use.

It’s perfectly serviceable for taking out vehicles, although players will usually spot the warning and bail before impact. What it’s really good for is taking out rooftop campers. These pesky players who sit on rooftops are a nightmare to get past, but the JOKR can lock on to their position without them ever knowing.

Expect to hear screams of confusion in the death chatter when you drop a JOKR missile onto a campers head.

4. Kali Sticks – Best Melee in Warzone Season 2

Many players don’t realize how powerful the Kali sticks can be. If you manage to get in an opponent’s face with these sticks, they’ll be helpless as you down and finish them in only a few swings.

What sets the Kali Sticks above the knife in Warzone is their swing speed and lunge distance. You’ll be able to batter your opponent into submission much faster than you would with the knife, and the lunge will stick to enemies as they try to run away.

3. Strela-P – Best Launcher in Warzone Season 2

While its rockets don’t have much splash damage when hitting infantry, there’s no better choice for destroying vehicles.

What makes the Strela-P the best launcher in Warzone is the rocket’s velocity. Whether you’re hitting moving vehicles or taking helicopters out of the air, the rocket will almost instantly hit, meaning you don’t have to lead your shots at all.

2. Diamatti

Even with its various nerfs the Diamatti is still head and shoulders above the rest. Although its Akimbo power was nerfed, a single Diamatti is still an incredibly strong and accurate weapon.

Its burst fire rate will melt enemies’ armor in only a couple of shots, and dual wield is still very viable. Until the Sykov’s arrival, the Diamatti had the top spot.

1. Sykov – Best Pistol in Warzone

Warzone Sykov Pistol

There’s no other choice for the top spot than the disgustingly overpowered Sykov pistol. The Sykov is even better than most primary weapons in the game.

This new pistol was added to Warzone and Modern Warfare in the final week of Season 2 and became the meta overnight. With the best attachments equipped, the Sykov is wielded akimbo, fired fully automatic, and has 80 rounds in its magazine. If you run these pistols, nothing can stop you at close range.

Check out our guide on how to unlock the Sykov, meta-changing sidearm, as well as how to dual wield this meta-changing sidearm.
