Warzone 2 Season 1 benefits from having a solid pool of weapons to choose from, and LMGs, particularly the RPK, can be monsters. So here’s our best Warzone 2 RPK loadout with all the right attachments and Perks.

Warzone 2’s battle royale beast is such a contrast to Modern Warfare 2 as the latter relies more on ADS time to compete in the majority of its gunfights. On the other hand, Warzone 2 players need to prioritize less recoil and larger mags – which is where the RPK comes into the fore.

LMGs get far more love in battle royales as they’re better suited to the environment and setup of matches, allowing players to seamlessly unload 50-100 shots on a squad.

The RPK is one of the finest examples of this in Warzone 2 Season 1, so let’s run through the optimal RPK loadout with the best gear you can equip for it.

Best Warzone 2 RPK loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Polarfire-S
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Optic: VLK 4.0 Optic
  • Stock: FT Tac-Elite Stock
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity

Just to reiterate, ADS just isn’t as important in Warzone 2, unless you’re using a close-range SMG, so we can go mad with improving the weapon’s recoil over its mobility.

To do this, we start off with the Polarfire-S Muzzle as it’s a handy little suppressor that boots recoil, range, velocity, and quietens our shots.

Next up is the FTAC Ripper 56 and FT Tac-Elite Stock as they offer us more stability, recoil control, as well as a hint of hip fire accuracy.

The VLK 4.0 Optic is a personal preference and it’s an easy one-zoom attachment with plenty of enhanced sight, and the 7.62 High Velocity rounds are there to make our barrages more laser-like.

Best Perks & Equipment for Warzone 2 RPK

  • Perk Package: Commando (Scavenger, Strong Arm, Fast Hands, High Alert)
  • Lethal Equipment: Drill Charge
  • Tactical Equipment: Flash Grenade

You can no longer manually select your Perks, and you will instead have to settle for premade Perk Packages. We recommend Vanguard as it gives us Scavenger, Strong Arm, Fast Hands, and High Alert.

The main importance of this build is Fast Hands to decrease reload times and make switching to another weapon faster, Scavenger to help us restock ammo, and High Alert to give us a split-second or two to react to being seen in the game.

For Equipment, we choose the Drill Charge as it can burrow its way through walls and help you flush out campers, whereas the Flash Grenade can literally blind a player for several seconds, giving you ample opportunity to take them out.

How to unlock the RPK in Warzone 2

The RPK requires several unlocks first to obtain, and we need to, first, reach Rank 23, then once that’s done, use your newly unlocked Kastov 762 and get it to Level 16, and then you’ll be awarded the RPK Reciever to equip.

It’s convoluted but rewarding, and getting it to its max level won’t take long with our best tips on leveling up quickly in Warzone 2.

Best RPK alternatives in Warzone 2

Despite our praise, if the RPK isn’t cutting it for you, then give the best EBR-14 loadout a whirl, or the TAQ-5 a go. Both are completely different entities that might serve you well during a game of Warzone 2.
