The MG42’s excellent damage output and magazine size make it a great choice for Warzone Pacific players if they manage to put together the best MG42 loadout.

Vanguard weapons are quickly becoming a popular option for Warzone Pacific players. The option to equip ten attachments has made Vanguard weapons a real force to be reckoned with. Furthermore, a recent nerf to Black Ops Cold War weapons has increased the utility of Vanguard weapons.

With so many options to choose from it can be rather confusing to get started. Luckily this loadout guide will set you on the path to Warzone Pacific success.

Here are the ten attachments, Perks, and equipment you’ll need to make the MG42 a top-tier weapon.

Best MG42 attachments for Warzone Pacific

MG42 attachments
  • Muzzle: G28 Compensator
  • Barrel: VDD 890MM 32M Luftschutz
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: Krausnick S91MG
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 13MM Anti-Material 125 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Perk: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

The MG42 boasts a notorious recoil pattern that has caused quite a stir amongst Warzone players. Although the ground loot version of this weapon is abysmal, the G28 Compensator, VDD 890MM 32M Luftschutz, Krausnick S91MG, and M1941 Hand Stop all work toward improving this weapon’s accuracy and recoil control.

It’s a shame that most of these attachments come at the cost of reducing movement speed but this is just something LMG players are going to have to accept. The Fabric Grip will help slightly alleviate that issue by increasing ADS speed. The G16 2.5x optic is a popular choice for long-range weapons and the Lengthened ammo type will ensure your bullets maintain power at a distance.

There are several excellent Perk attachments to choose from, but Tight Grip’s increased accuracy and control seem to be the most valuable contributions. Meanwhile, the 13MM Anti-Material 125 Round Drums magazine increases range and ensures that you’ll rarely run out of ammo in gunfights. Fully Loaded will provide maximum ammo.

Best MG42 Perks and equipment

warzone amped perk
  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Secondary: MP40
  • Lethal: Frag
  • Tactical: Stun

Double Time will be incredibly useful given the slow mobility that comes with the MG42. Increasing your sprint time will ensure you don’t fall behind when traversing Caldera with an LMG. Overkill will allow you to equip a Submachine Gun for close-range gunfights. The MP40 is a great choice to cover the MG42’s most glaring weakness.

Thanks to Amped, you’ll be able to swap from MP40 to MG42 as fast as possible. This will undoubtedly prevent some frustrating deaths.

The Frag and Stun combination works well as added utility in engagements. You can also opt for a Semtex but keep in mind it isn’t accessible in Vanguard Royale.

How to unlock the MG42 in Vanguard and Warzone Pacific

MG42 alternatives

Fortunately for Vanguard and Warzone Pacific players, the MG42 is highly accessible. The weapon can be accessed after unlocking Custom Loadouts at Rank 4

New players won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the LMG.

Warzone Pacific alternatives to MG42

LMG weapons are far from conventional and these weapons certainly do not suit all play styles. If you can’t get past the MG42’s low mobility, the Automaton can be your ideal weapon. It shoots just as straight however you’ll trade in some damage output for added mobility.

Along the same lines, the STG44 is yet another versatile option that performs well at most distances. This weapon can cover your close-range gunfights in a way the MG42 simply cannot.

As players continue to explore Caldera’s brilliant jungles, the weapon meta is certainly going to shift. Stay tuned to CharlieINTEL for all of the latest Warzone Pacific Season 1 news.
