Hogwarts Legacy is a very demanding game and if you’re looking for the best settings to make sure you’re not losing any frames, here’s our guide.

Hogwarts Legacy has a lot to offer, from exploring every nook and cranny in Hogwarts to venturing out on a broomstick to fighting Trolls and all sorts across the Scottish Highlands.

The devs at Avalanche Software clearly worked incredibly hard on the game, as immense detail oozes out of every location in the game. That said, the efforts in detail can be very demanding for your system.

Luckily, we have the best settings to use for Hogwarts Legacy on PC to increase your frames-per-second (FPS) and prevent a jittery experience.

Best Hogwarts Legacy PC settings for high FPS

Of course, Hogwart Legacy‘s performance on your system really depends on the specs you are working with. Hogwarts Legacy has recommended and minimum spec requirements so you’ll first want to make sure your PC can run the game proficiently.

If you are able to run Hogwarts Legacy but would like to tweak the options for high FPS, here are our recommendations for graphics and video settings:

Display Options

  • Window Mode: Windowed Fullscreen
  • Upscale Type: NVIDIA DLSS
  • Upscale Mode: NVIDIA DLSS Quality
  • Upscale Sharpness: 0
  • NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency: On
  • VSync: On
  • Frame Rate: Uncapped
  • Field of View: 0.0
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Depth of Field: Off
  • Chromatic Aberration: off
  • Film Grain: Off

For those wanting the highest FPS possible on Hogwarts Legacy, using VSync and Uncapped frame rate means that the game will run at your monitor’s refresh rate. If you continue to experience frame drops, you may want to cap your frames at a nice number that your PC is capable of outputting consistently.

For Graphics settings in Hogwarts Legacy, you can play around with some of these settings above and flick between the medium and low options until you feel the game is running smoother.
