Best Destiny 2 Warlock Build

Warlocks have a variety of powerful builds that they can try out, and here is the best Warlock stasis build that you can use in Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost.

There is plenty of fun content to enjoy in Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost, including Trials of Osiris rewards and bounties from Spider. You can also make use of some power weapons in combat.

Having the right build can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Different weapons, armor mods, abilities, fragments, and aspects can help you make the best Warlock build in Destiny 2.

Best Destiny 2 Warlock build

Destiny 2 Shadebinder class

Our Destiny 2 build revolves around the stasis-based Warlock subclass known as Shadebinder. This arrived as part of the Beyond Light expansion and has many powerful abilities.

We’ll combine this subclass with the proper mods and weapon loadout to create a Warlock build that will help you annihilate your opponents and come out on top.

Abilities

Destiny 2 characters
  • Rift: Healing Rift
  • Jump: Burst Glide
  • Melee: Penumbral Blast
  • Grenade: Glacier Grenade

The first ability we equipped is Healing Rift, which will conjure a well of power to help you continuously heal your health. The Burst Glide jump ability lets you move around the map while Warlock skating without slowing down.

If you find yourself overwhelmed by enemies, the Penumbral Blast will allow you to use your Stasis Staff defensively to push back the opposition. The Glacier Grenade lets you block off corridors so that you can put some distance between yourself and the enemy.

Aspects

Iceflare Bolts Destiny 2
  • Iceflare Bolts
  • Bleak Watcher

When using the Iceflare Bolts, you can spawn seekers to track down and freeze enemies after you’ve shattered a frozen target.

If you press and hold your grenade button, you can convert it into a stasis turret that fires slow projectiles at nearby enemies, distracting them. This is called the Bleak Watcher, and it helps you push back against teams that have a hold on the map.

Fragments

Warlock Shadebinder in Destiny 2
  • Whisper of Chains
  • Whisper of Rending
  • Whisper of Fissures
  • Whisper of Torment

When you’re close to frozen targets, you will receive damage reduction from the Whispers of Chains fragment. You can pair this with your Glacier Grenade to cause some serious problems for your opponents.

Whisper of Rending ensures that kinetic weapons do more damage to stasis crystals and frozen targets. So, you can throw down the Glacier Grenade and then easily break the crystals to hurt your opponents.

To increase the damage and size of the burst of stasis when you destroy stasis crystals, you can use Whisper of Fissures. Finally, Whisper of Torment will get you more grenade energy for dealing damage to targets in the best Destiny 2 Warlock build.

Stats

Destiny 2 Warlock class
  • Recovery: 100
  • Discipline: 60
  • Intellect: 80
  • Resilience: 60
  • Mobility: 44
  • Strength: 52

Your Recovery will reduce the cooldown of the Warlock class ability and increase the speed of your health regeneration. Discipline helps decrease the cooldown of grenades so that you can use them more often.

Intellect reduces the cooldown of your super ability so that you can take full advantage of the Shadebinder subclass. You’ll get to use the super ability to cause some serious mayhem in battle.

We recommend keeping your Resilience at Tier 6 so that you can take more damage without dying. This complements the damage resistance you got from the Whispers of Chains fragment.

Weapons

 ace of spades exotic
  • Ace of spades (Kinectic slot)
  • Chaperone Shotgun (Roadborn gives you a generous hitbox, letting oyuh it targets more easily.)

The Ace of Spades has held its spot on the top of Kinetic PVP weapons since its introduction. It has fantastic stats, amazing perks, and an amazing TTK. The recent buff gave players infinite Kinetic ammo, so you won’t have to worry about wasting shots.

You can also equip the Chaperone Shotgun and make use of Roadborn, which gives you a generous hitbox. You’ll be able to hit targets more easily without worrying too much about pellet spread.

Armor mods

 Hood of the Exile
  • Headpiece: Mobility / Shotgun and Hand Cannon targetting
  • Chest piece: Unflinching Shotgun aim / Unflinching Hand Cannon aim
  • Leg piece: Radiant Light / Shotgun Holster
  • Charged with Light Mod: Powerful friends

For the headpiece, We prioritized Mobility and the targetting for both the Shotgun and Hand Cannon. This will ensure that you hit your targets dead-on, so make sure you equip high-tier armor like the Hood of the Exile.

We want to improve your precision with your weapons further, so equip Unflinching Shotgun and Hand Cannon aims. Then, combine these with a powerful piece of armor like the Wild Hunt Vestment.

 Mara Sov character

The Radiant Light reduces the cooldown of the Penumbral Blast, and equipping Shotgun Holster ensures that your Shotgun is reloaded over time without having to equip it first. Powerful friends gives you some added mobility.

That covers our best Destiny 2 Warlock Build. You can also experiment with different weapons, abilities, and fragments to pick the Build that suits you best.
