Baldur’s Gate 3 players judge characters with “most accurate” alignment chart
Larian StudiosBaldur’s Gate 3 fans are not bound by moral chains and have complete freedom to play the way they want. However, some characters tend to prefer one side of the scale, and this player has revealed a fun but accurate alignment chart for your party members.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is full of endearing characters, and though some of them may seem awkward, they all have a story to share. Some of them often play the role of the villain, though many prefer to remain neutral, while just a few are solid do-gooders.
The alignment system in the game can be a little bit confusing at first, and there is an abundance of morally grey situations where you don’t know exactly how your characters will react.
But this player has come up with an extremely accurate way to define the Origin Character’s approach to moral norms and code of conduct. And Baldur’s Gate 3 players just love how true this feels.
This was posted by Reddit user ‘wanderers_respite,’ who shared the chart with the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit community and immediately received overall praise and acceptance of his approach to Character morals in the game: “Accurate? Adjust positions as you wish, but I’m right.”
One of the players commenting on this post said: “So accurate, it hurts.” And another one said: “This is tremendously accurate, yes, but where’s Minthara?” To which another player replied: “Minthara is just so evil that she falls off the charts!”
But some players were surprised to find that Wyll has some ‘evil inside,’ and protested: “Also what does Wyll do that is so bad? I’d swap them.” Another BG3 fan explained: “It’s probably the stain on his soul the pact with Mizora brings.” Though, Reddit user ‘killertortilla’ disagrees: “Sacrificing yourself to do good is hardly evil.”
Some players are not 100% convinced that Karlach is all love and butterflies, and they protested with her position in the chart. One of them said: “I love Karlach but the whole soul coin thing really bothers me.” And another player answered: “When I did my goodie goodie playthrough I kept them away from her. When I did my 2nd playthrough she’s… uh… not around to use them.”
