Larian StudiosCrossovers and pop culture references in video games are a classic combination. A Baldur’s Gate 3 player has recreated a sitcom reference by enacting the intro of Friends with the characters from Larian Studio’s RPG.
A Baldur’s Gate 3 player has recreated the opening intro of the popular 90’s sitcom, Friends, by using the original characters of the game, and some quirky video editing skills. The results are astounding, and have left us wondering: who is Monica? Lae’zel or Shadowheart?
As posted by Reddit user Sho_VT, this recreated opening scene depicts the whole crew of origin characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 as the cast of the Friends sitcom.
The Reddit community responded to Sho_VT and it quickly garnered plenty of upvotes: “I’m not even a fan of Friends but I love this so much!!”Another user added: “Gale gives big Ross vibes.”
Other users are still deliberating if Lae’zel or Shadowheart is Monica or Rachel, as they could both fit the archetype. However, everyone agrees that Karlach is the Phoebe of the Baldur’s Gate 3 party.
What most users are noticing is that Gale seems to have an uncanny resemblance to Ross, with one of them even saying: “Gale is undeniably Ross-coded and I for one will never unsee it.”
Another user agreed by saying: “Clever and quirky guy with a pet, insecure, socially awkward, ongoing issues with his ex, immature streak when crossed? Gale is the ONLY one of the whole party who actually fits one of the Friends characters.”
