Apex Legends will be getting a Team Deathmatch mode in Season 16, a classic FPS game mode that many will be familiar with. If you’d like to find out more about how TDM will work in Apex Legends, here’s everything you need to know.

Apex Legends Season 16 will bring a brand-new update to the game that looks to evolve and build on content that is already present in the game.

This is one of the main reasons the devs decided to not bring a new Legend in Season 16, as they have opted to remaster the Legend Classes and bring a variety of balance changes instead.

That said, the devs have revealed that a new mode will be introduced in Apex Legends Season 16 after the removal of Arenas. This new mode is Team Deathmatch, which is a classic FPS mode that players have been calling for.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new Apex Legends TDM mode.

Apex Legends TDM release date

TDM for Apex Legends will be available as soon as the Season 16 update goes live on February 14, 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 6 PM GMT.

The mode will then be available in-game for three weeks straight, before being replaced by the Mixtape mode, which will still have TDM, but also other modes on rotation such as Control and Gun Run.

Apex Legends TDM details

Apex Legends’ TDM mode sees two squads of six face off in a fight for the most eliminations. Killing opponents will earn points for players’ teams.

The mode works similarly to other FPS Team Deathmatch modes, however, in Apex Legends’ version, the winner will be decided after three rounds. The team who manages to perform the best over these rounds will win the game.

TDM will take place on fan-favorite POI, Skulltown, and Arenas maps Party Crasher and Habitat 4.
