To celebrate 100 million players on Apex Legends, the developers tweeted out a video showcasing some new content, teasing map changes, and the new Season 9 Legend.

Over on Apex Legends Twitter account, @PlayApex, a video was dropped to celebrate 100 million players on the game.

In the video, streamers and even e-sports commentators for Apex Legends were featured in a collage of videos, celebrating the huge support of the community of the past two years.

The most interesting thing about this video, however, was the teasers that came with it. Popular data miner @Shrugtal was quick to show off the still images of what was teased.

Season 9 Olympus teasers

In the first image, it seems Hammond Labs will be getting a makeover, as the teaser shows off a completely changed location from what is currently in Apex Legends Season 8.

Furthermore, from the fourth image shown by Shrugtal, it seems Olympus will take on a much darker tone than what we are used to, as it looks like it has been set to nighttime.

We then see Mirage Voyage has made its way to Olympus after disappearing from Kings Canyon. The location of where it will be is uncertain and nothing can really be suggested from the small teaser shown in the video.

Legend teaser

Probably the smallest, but the most interesting part about this video is the Legend teaser towards the end. Apex Legends’ new Legend is briefly shown hovering above Mirage but is too far away to make out much detail.

The fact that the Legend is hovering pretty much confirms it will be the Soaring Aviator, Valk, which means Falcon. Valk has been mentioned by data miners in the past and her icon was even shown in the leaked Arena mode teaser not too long ago, which looked like a yellow butterfly.

The fact that Valk’s abilities are associated with hovering and flying pretty much validates that this is Valk, and that she will be coming to Apex Legends in Season 9.

At the end of the video, a date is shown, “4.19.21,” suggesting that this is the date we will see an official reveal trailer for Season 9. Perhaps this means Season 9 will launch May 5th; two days after the end of Season 8.
