Apex Legends Season 13 Gaiden Thematic Event: Armed and Dangerous LTM, anime-themed skins, more
A new Apex Legends thematic event is arriving in Season 13, with new details suggesting that it will contain anime cosmetics.
Apex Legends Season 13 is almost at the halfway point, with the most recent update bringing the Awakening Collection Event and the return of Control.
Now, Respawn have officially announced their Thematic Event for the season, the Gaiden Event, which will bring a host of anime-themed cosmetics and another Prestige Skin.

Apex Legends Season 13 Gaiden Thematic Event release date
Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that the Apex Legends Gaiden Thematic Event will release on July 19 and culminate on August 2.

The event will officially go live in-game on July 19 at around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.
Apex Legends Gaiden Thematic Event skins
The Gaiden Thematic Event will offer players limited event items including 40 anime-inspired skins. There will be Legendary skins for “Revenant, Mirage, Octane and Wattson with complementary skins for the Flatline, Wingman, EVA-8 and Charge Rifle.”
According to leaks and speculation, below is a list of all of the skins and the anime show that has inspired them:
- Octane – One Piece skin
- Wattson – Naruto skin
- Mirage – My Hero Academia skin
- Revenant – Evangelion
- Crypto – Dragon Ball Z
- Bloodhound – Tokyo Ghoul
- Bangalore – Sailor Moon
- Seer – Heart Stopper
As well as various anime skins for Legends and weapons, the Gaiden Thematic Event will also bring yet another Prestige Skin.
Bangalore Prestige skin
For those who collect all 40 of the event items, they will unlock the Bangalore “Apex Commander” Prestige skin. This is similar to how players would unlock an Heirloom during a Collection Event.
The skin is of Mythic rarity that has three tiers of design. In order to unlock the tiers, players must complete skin-specific challenges. Once the final tier has been unlocked, players will also get an exclusive Finisher.

Gaiden Flash Events
The Gaiden Thematic Event also gives Apex Legends players an opportunity to earn some free rewards. Simply complete event challenges and earn Event Points over the two weeks that the event is live and you can earn unique rewards.
There will be two Reward Trackers across the event’s duration. Here are some of the rewards you can expect for each tracker.
July 19th to July 26th
- Rewards include:
- Fuse’s Down Thunder Epic Skin
- Bionic Buddy Gun Charm
- Epic 3030 “Cloudburst” Skin
July 26th to August 2nd
- Rewards include:
- OK Holospray
- 1 Gaiden Event Pack
- 1 Apex Pack
Armed and Dangerous LTM
Further, the Gaiden Thematic Event will also be bringing the return of the Armed and Dangerous LTM on July 19.
Apex leaker SenosApex revealed that for the duration of the LTM, the crafting rotation for the weekend will see the Kraber and the Mastiff, while the Longbow and Peacekeeper will take their place during the week.
