Apex Legends Season 13 has brought a heap of changes and new content for players. As well as a fresh new Battle Pass with a bunch of rewards, we also got a new Legend in Newcastle.

Every season players expect to see new events, and with Season 13, Respawn Entertainment have officially announced the Awakening Collection Event.

There’s a lot to unpack with the Apex Legends Awakening Event, as the update is bringing more than just cosmetics and a new Heirloom. Let’s take a look at everything coming with the Awakening Collection Event.

Apex Legends Season 13 Awakening Collection Event 1.98 patch release date

The Apex Legends Season 13 Awakening Collection Event will be officially released on June 21, 2022, at around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. The event is set to conclude on July 5.

Of course, just like any Apex Legends Collection Event, the update is set to bring a brand-new Heirloom and 24 themed cosmetics. However, this event is also bringing the 13.1 patch along with it, which is set to bring some major changes to the game.

Awakening Collection Event Heirloom & skins

This new Awakening Collection Event brings 24 Kaiju-themed skins and Valkyrie’s Heirloom. The skins include “Horizon’s “Atom Heart Mother”, Fuse’s “Animal Instinct”, Ash’s “Existential Threat”, and more!”

All of these 24 cosmetic items will be available through the in-game event store and can be purchased with either Apex Coins or Crafting Metals. There will also be Awakening Event Packs, bundles, and special offers that players can purchase.

Collecting all 24 Awakenening Collection Event items will unlock Valkyrie’s Heirloom, which is a Japanese-themed spear called the “Suzaku.”

As well as the 24-item collection, players will also have some free rewards up for grabs with the Awakening Reward Tracker. Players can earn up to 1,600 points per day by completing daily challenges to unlock a variety of free rewards.

These rewards include a Pathfinder skin, two Weapon skins, and more.

Apex Legends Lifeline’s Clinic

Along with the Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event comes Lifeline’s Clinic, a brand-new Lifeline-themed POI for Olympus.

This POI is described as a “state-of-the-art building,” which is located behind Gardens and near Grow Towers on the northeastern corner of Olympus.

In the middle of the Clinic’s main floor lies the Med-bay, which heals injured Legends who are standing on the platform. This platform will need to be recharged though, but a holo-display will let you know whether someone is using it to heal, or if the bay is recharging.

There’s also a section in the Clinic called the “Emergency Platform,” which allows players to order a Care Package and receive high-tier loot. Beware though, as this feature can only be activated once per game.

Control returns to Apex Legends

The Awakening Collection Event also sees the return of Control, a fan-favorite LTM that was first introduced in Season 12. This LTM is a respawn-based objective game mode that sees teams of nine battle it out for control of three objective points.

This time control returns with a variety of changes, and if you’d like to know more about the updates coming for the LTM, be sure to check out our piece on Control’s major updates.

This Collection Event is also arriving with the 13.1 patch, which is the mid-season update for Apex Legends Season 13. If you’re interested in this new update’s patch notes and details, check out our piece on the Apex Legends 13.1 patch notes.
