A new Apex Legends leak has emerged which suggests that Respawn Entertainment are planning to finally increase the level cap in the popular battle royale title.

When you hop into a game of Apex Legends, you can level up by playing well in different matches, and this will grant you access to Apex Packs, crafting items, as well as Legend Tokens.

When the game first arrived, players could only reach Level 100, but the developers later increased the maximum rank to Level 500. Now, a new leak suggests that we will see another increase in the level cap.

Apex Legends players have been calling for the developers to give them a larger level cap, and notable leaker ‘SomeoneWhoLeaks’ claims that Respawn Entertainment are currently working on doing that.

The leaker tweeted that levels “501-700 are being added in the future” and shared images that are reportedly from the game‘s files, showcasing new account badge borders for Octane and Lifeline.

In Apex Legends, your account badge border changes as you level up, so if these leaks are accurate then we may see these new Legend-themed frames added to the battle royale title soon.

As exciting as this all sounds, you should definitely keep in mind that this information is based on leaks, so it’s worth taking it with a grain of salt until we get an official announcement from Respawn Entertainment.

That said, this change would be welcomed by players that have been desperate for a level cap increase. Hopefully, the developers will confirm that these changes are on their way in a future update patch.
