Respawn Entertainment have finally brought a fix for an ongoing issue that had been causing Apex Legends players to receive the improper ranked rewards. Here are the full Apex Legends 1.97 patch notes.

Apex Legends Season 13 brought a brand-new ranked system to the battle royale’s competitive space known as Ranked Leagues. The changes have divided opinion, with some pros thinking the new system will make players better, while the more casual players have been pretty unhappy.

As well as some server issues and exploits that caused servers to crash and ruin ranked games, the community has also highlighted an issue with improper ranked rewards being given to players, which the devs have addressed in June 7’s 1.97 patch.

Apex Legends improper ranked rewards fix

June 7’s Apex Legends 1.97 patch brought a fix for “improper ranked rewards.” For quite a few seasons now players have been receiving the wrong rewards for the rank that they achieved in the previous season.

For example, someone who managed to reach Masters rank would expect a purple Dive Trail, only to receive a blue Diamond rank one in the new season. Ultimately, the devs have stated that the issue has now been fixed and that the “correct dive trails, holosprays, gun charms, and badges will start rolling out to players throughout the day [June 7].”

Apex Legends 1.97 update patch notes

June 7’s 1.97 patch also brought a variety of other fixes for Apex Legends. Here are the full patch notes for the June 7 patch:

  • Improper Ranked rewards: the correct dive trails, holosprays, gun charms, and badges will start rolling out to players throughout the day
  • IMC Armories: exploits related to clipping through the roof, a mantling bug after teleporting in, and various script errors.
  • Fixing the occasional server-wide thud sound related to Newcastle’s ultimate.
  • Resolving next-gen Xbox audio distortion.
  • Various script errors.

As you can see, the patch brought a fix for an issue with the IMC Armories that was causing a “mantling bug.” Players can now safely use the portal to teleport into the IMC Armory after it has already been started.

The patch also brought a fix for some audio issues as well, including the “server-wide thud” that was related to Newcastle‘s Ultimate.
