Encountering enemies that camp behind doors can be irritating when playing Apex Legends, but you can make use of a clever trick involving Horizon’s Black Hole ultimate to lure them out and attack them.

Horizon has become a fan favorite ever since her addition to Apex Legends at the start of Season 7. Her unique abilities have made her a powerhouse with a huge record of wins, to the point that Respawn Entertainment is planning to nerf her.

She can reverse or control gravity, and her Ultimate ability allows her to open up a Black Hole during combat. This can prove useful in the midst of battle, as you can use a neat little trick to attack enemies that camp behind doors.

Horizon Ult trick to counter door campers in Apex Legends

One common tactic used by Apex Legends players is to hide behind doors and keep an eye out for enemies. This lets you catch your foes by surprise when they enter a room, and grants you time to heal or revive a teammate.

Of course, it’s far less fun to be picked off by your enemies who are door camping. Luckily, you can use Horizon’s Black Hole to counter this tactic, as shown in a clip posted by Reddit user friarface in the Apex University subreddit.

Horizon attacks the door camper with her Ultimate ability, and the Black Hole begins to pull them out of their hiding spots behind the door. She then hits them with a few Thermite grenades to dish out some additional punishment.

This is an incredibly useful trick for making sure that your enemies don’t get the time to heal or revive a teammate that you shot down. In case you’re planning to use a door for cover, make sure that Horizon isn’t close by.

The Legend’s passive abilities are also powerful, so it’s clear why she’s a popular pick for Apex fans. With Respawn planning to nerf her soon, you should try out this trick in a match before it gets patched out.

Apex Legends Season 7’s Battle Pass will expire on February 1, so Season 8 will start soon afterward. We’re excited to learn what the devs have planned for Horizon in the future, and we’ll be sure to update you once we learn more.
