Apex Legends exploit gives players Heirlooms completely free

Revenant Heirloom in Apex Legends

Apex Legends players have come across a strange new connectivity issue that allows them to equip and use Heirlooms for completely free in Season 15.

After Season 15 went live on November 1, Apex Legends hopped into the battle royale title in order to check out the new content that’s now available, including the brand-new Legend Catalyst.

New seasons also bring a weapon Heirloom for players to unlock in Collection Events. However, a strange connectivity issue in Season 15 is allowing players to equip Heirlooms for free.

Normally, unlocking this cosmetic item requires you to spend Heirloom Shards at the in-game store or purchase the event set at Collection Events. However, now players can access Heirlooms even if they didn’t own them.

Apex Legends content creator ‘Grrted’ highlighted this in a clip posted on Twitter. They showed that they didn’t own Revenant’s Heirloom, but it appeared automatically as soon as they hopped into a game.

It seems extremely easy to replicate this glitch as it has become a widespread issue. We recommend avoiding this as it can result in you getting banned from Apex Legends.

In the replies, Grrted made it clear that “hundreds of thousands of people” have encountered the same glitch, so it remains to be seen if Respawn Entertainment will end up banning these accounts.

It’s currently unclear when exactly the developers will respond to this issue, but we expect it to get patched up fast. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as Respawn Entertainment come up with a fix for it.
