Apex Legends Arenas

Apex Legends’ new 3v3 Arenas mode is very different from the classic battle royale formula, leaving some players unsure about what Legends would be the best to use. Some Legends are much more useful than others in this mode, so we’ve made a guide to help shed light on them.

Apex Legends’ latest season saw a heap of content introduced to the players. Some of this content was expected, like a new Legend, weapon, and map changes, but some of it came as more of a surprise.

The new 3v3 Arenas mode is a completely new experience for Apex Legends fans, introducing a CSGO/Valorant-esque round-based duel between two teams.

Best Legends to use for the Arenas

As the mode is so different from the battle royale, some of the Legends are essential for this mode and can help you and your team reach consecutive victories.

In Arenas, players will have to spend credits in order to purchase weapons, consumables, and even abilities. However, every Legend gets their passive for no extra cost, making some much more viable than others.

If you’re unsure about how you want to spend your crafting materials/credits, check out our guide on the best ways to spend them.

Lifeline in Apex Legends: Arenas

Lifeline is a great option for Arenas and is possibly the most essential Legend for team composition. Lifeline’s abilities aid the team by keeping them alive for as long as possible, and as Arenas can be a war of attrition, Lifeline’s tactical health drone can be essential.

Further, Lifeline’s passive is her D.O.C drone revive, which allows her to revive enemies while staying in the fight. Although this passive was nerfed in the latest patch, removing the protective shield, it is still very strong.

The main reason it’s so strong is because of the Legendary bag players can purchase for only 250 crafting credits. Lifeline with this item can really be a menace, reviving her teammates effortlessly with half health and shields, allowing them to get back into the fight instantly.

Although Lifeline’s ultimate isn’t as useful, her tactical health drone and revive make her one of the most essential Legends for taking the victory in Arenas.

Valkyrie in Arenas

Valkyrie is another great pick for Arenas, mostly because her main ability and best asset is free. Valkyrie is a great attacking option for the team, gaining different angles on the opposition to make them uncomfortable and offset their position.

The reason Valkyrie is one of the best Legends for Arenas is because of her passive VTOL Jets. Valkyrie’s passive will recharge throughout the game, allowing players to gain height and reposition at any point of a round.

Valkyrie’s tactical, Missile Swarm, will also allow Valkyrie to push enemies out of their position. At this point, Valkyrie can then use her jets to take their position, leaving the opponents at a disadvantage.

Further, Valkyrie’s ultimate, Skyward Dive, is only 150 credits which isn’t expensive, especially in the later rounds. Purchase this ability to take you and your team straight to where the enemies want to be, take over their position and leave them in the dust.

Gibraltar in Arenas

Lastly we have Gibraltar, an extremely useful Legend in the Arenas mostly for his 1v1 capabilities. Gibraltar acts as the anchor for a team, holding down positions taking out enemies who overextend.

Not only is Gibraltar a good option because of his Dome of Protection, which also provides teams with a faster revive option, but his passive can greatly increase his chances of winning 1v1s. In Arenas, you will often find yourself in a 1v1 situation where Gibraltar’s passive gun shield can be really dominant.

The gun shield gives Gibraltar added health, making him a nuisance from range, as he can continue to do damage to the enemies while they are only hitting the gun shield, allowing Gibraltar to save his meds.

Gibraltar’s extra passive, Fortress, which reduces incoming damage by 15%, makes him even more of an essential character for Arenas, as he can easily tank damage and win those isolated fights.
