FIFA 23 TOTY Icons

FIFA 23 has introduced TOTY Icons. These cards made their way to Ultimate Team during the Team of the Year promo. Let’s take a look at which players are included in Team 1 and Team 2 of TOTY Icons.

EA have some surprises up their sleeve when it comes to the highly anticipated FIFA 23 TOTY. Each year, the Ultimate Team promo steals the spotlight with some of the highest-rated cards.

However, this year, FIFA 23 players received TOTY Icons in addition to the regularly scheduled TOTY squad and TOTY 12th Man.

Icons are already some of the most sought-after Ultimate Team items around and TOTY versions have stepped it up a notch. Here are all of the TOTY Icons revealed so far, with a list of Team 1 and Team 2 players in FIFA 23.

When are TOTY Icons coming to FIFA 23?

FIFA 23 TOTY Icons arrived during the Team of the Year promo on January 20. The TOTY promo started on Friday, January 20, and Team 1 made its way to the game on the same day.

Team 2 of TOTY Icons arrived Tuesday, January 24. Given the overpowered nature of these cards, it’s only natural to expect smaller releases of six to eight TOTY Icons per team.

EA included six TOTY Icons in Team 1 and six in Team 2 of the bonus Ultimate Team promo alongside the TOTY.

Here are the 14 TOTY Icons revealed so far:

  • David Beckham – England – RM
  • Ruud Gullit – Netherlands – CF
  • Andrea Pirlo – Italy – CM
  • Javier Zanetti – Argentina – RB
  • Robert Pires – France – LM
  • Nemanja Vidic – Serbia – CB
  • Ronaldinho – Brazil – CAM
  • Ashley Cole – England – LB
  • Claude Makelele – France – CDM
  • Edwin van der Sar – Netherlands – GK
  • Gerd Muller – Germany – ST
  • Alessandro Nesta – Italy – CB
  • Xabi Alonso (SBC) – Spain – CDM
  • Hugo Sanchez (SBC) – Mexico – ST

A Hugo Sanchez TOTY Icon SBC arrived during the TOTY promo as part of Team 1, and a Xabi Alonso SBC followed in Team 2.

While players will no doubt be excited for meta Icons like Gullit to receive a TOTY Icon, it’ll be interesting to see if these new cards can have an impact on less popular Icons.

Icons like Pirlo and Beckham could see their upgrades take them into the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team meta.
