All Diablo 4 Season 3 classes & which one is best for you

In Diablo 4, you will come across five different classes, each with its unique playstyle. Here’s a quick guide to help you figure out which one is best suited for you as you begin your journey through the Sanctuary.

Diablo 4 Season 3 is finally upon us, but the class roster has remained the same for the past three season and each class has its own kit in the game. For example, Necromancers are capable of summoning corpses to do their bidding, while Sorcerers can control the elements.

The skill roster for each of these classes differs as well. For example, Barbarians depend upon a lot of shouts and melee abilities whereas Rogues can pick their targets from afar. Considering that there’s so much class diversity in the game, it can be slightly difficult to decide which is the best class for you.

These are the five classes that’ll be available in Diablo 4 at launch:

Barbarian

Simply put, the Barbarian class in Diablo 4 has high damage, moderate mobility, and high defense. To balance this out, this class relies a lot on Fury and the abilities have long cooldowns.

Beginners who don’t want to jump into complex mechanics right away can also benefit from the Barbarian’s straightforward gameplay.

In Diablo 4 Season 3, the class has received some major buffs, making it a viable character for endgame activities like Nightmare Dungeons and bosses. Interestingly enough, you don’t need to have a lot of build synergy with this class to do a good amount of damage.

Rogue

The Rogue class in Diablo 4 is as versatile as it gets. These warriors can deal melee as well as ranged damage and you can consistently switch between these attack types. At the same time, Rogue characters aren’t tanky and you’ll have to master dodging attacks.

While playing Rogue, you’ll also access class specialization mechanics. You can generate combo points through basic skills and deal more damage through advanced skills. Moreover, Rogue’s inner sight ability marks enemies and upon killing them, you get unlimited energy for 4 seconds.

The Rogue used to be a hard hitter in the previous season, but unfortunately, one of the best abilities of the class, Twisting Blades, was nerfed with the Diablo 4 Season 3 update.

The Sorcerer

The Sorcerer in Diablo 4 is a master of elements that deals high AoE damage without breaking a sweat. The mobility is decent but you must get used to the low defense.

The Sorcerer can enchant skill slots in Diablo 4 and tweak their effects for valuable buffs. Although you cannot enchant Ultimate Skills, the flexible customization of other skills is still impressive.

This class has remained pretty standard from the very beginning of the game. The Diablo 4 Season 3 update introduced some buffs to some of the class abilities, which may have a positive effect on the Sorcerer’s endgame builds.

Druid

Druid is a class of shapeshifters in Diablo 4. You can turn into a ferocious Wearbear and get a major attack and defense boost with Druid’s Spirit Skills.

This class also boasts Companion Skills that help in spawning wolves, ravens, or vines. Wolves increase critical damage rate, ravens make the enemies vulnerable, and vines will poison the enemies.

The Druid class is as tanky as they get and they can deal a good amount of damage too. But to get to max damage output, you will have to make your way to the endgame stages. A lot of skill synergy is required for you to make the most out of Druids in Diablo 4.

Necromancer

The fan-favorite Necromancer class from Diablo 3 will be available in Diablo 4 and it is easily one of the most rewarding classes in the game.

With Necromancer, you can summon an army of the undead comprising skeletons, skeletal mages, and golems. The class’s unique specialization mechanics let you change this army’s composition too. On top of that, there’s the ability to either sacrifice your army and gain personal buffs or use crowd control.

While the Necromancers can do a considerable amount of damage in the game, their builds have remained the same for the most part over the past couple of seasons. While summoning remains one of the most interesting aspects of the class, summoner builds have unfortunately been nerfed in Season 3.

Which is the best class for you in Diablo 4 Season 3

Choosing the best Diablo 4 class depends completely upon the playstyle that you want to adopt. For example, if you love playing as a ranged character, then you should ideally go for the Rogue or the Sorcerer. However, if you like conjuring skeletons or raising an undead army, then the Necromancer is your best friend.

If you’re new to the game and you want to learn the ropes, then choosing the Barbarian is a good idea. Not only will you be able to survive a lot, but you will also be able to take a lot of damage.

Following the Diablo 4 Season 3 update, most classes got a buff whereas certain builds like the companion builds for Druids and Necromancers got nerfed. The same holds true for the Rogue as well. The Twisting Blades build was one of the best builds that the class had, but following a nerf to the Twisting Blades ability, it’s not recommended for beginners at this point.

Other than that, the Sorcerer class looks to be in a steady place in Diablo 4 Season 3. While their performance and ease of use cannot be compared to the Barbarian, they’re still a viable class to go with.

That said, each and every class is still playable and is worth experiencing. Considering that you can make multiple characters in Diablo 4 Season 3, feel free to test out every class before you commit to one for the rest of the season.
