Blacksite Gulag Warzone 2 Al Mazrah

The Warzone 2 Season 3 update brought changes to the Al Mazrah battle royale map. Here’s a look at the new Blacksite Gulag and all of the other changes in Season 3.

Warzone 2 Season 3 has arrived and the major update has brought several new features for players to enjoy. The Season 3 update introduced the new BlackCell Battle Pass, new weapons, Buy Station changes, and plenty more.

Fans of Warzone 2 will also get to explore all of the changes made to the Al Mazrah map. With every seasonal update Al Mazrah’s landscape evolves, so let’s take a look at all of the changes introduced in Season 3.

Warzone 2 Season 3 new Blacksite Gulag

The Blacksite Gulag debuts in Warzone 2 Season 3.

Warzone 2 Season 3 has brought the new Blacksite Gulag seen in the image above. This new battleground will serve as the location where players will fight for redeployment in Season 3.

The layout of the Blacksite Gulag takes the shape of a training ground. Operators will do more than just train though as they face the intense 1v1 situation that Blacksite will provide.

According to the devs, Blacksite is a “roughly rectangular, asymmetrical map,” with “several interior spaces and long external routes.”

Those looking to practice their strategy for the new Blacksite Gulag can take to Modern Warfare 2, where the map can be found in Season 3’s new Gunfight mode.

New Warzone 2 Season 3 Black Site location in Al Mazrah

Al Mazrah receveid a new Black Site location with the Warzone 2 Season 3 update. Not to be confused with the Blacksite Gulag, Al Mazrah still boasts Strongholds called Black Sites, where players can battle it out for high-tier loot.

The Season 3 patch notes state: “An additional black site has been added to Al Mazrah near Rohan Oil, in the Northern sector of the map.”

Al Mazrah UAV Towers in Warzone 2 Season 3

UAV Towers are scattered across Al Mazrah in Season 3.

UAV Towers have made their way to Al Mazrah in Season 3, after previously appearing in DMZ. These locations across Al Mazrah will provide players with valuable information if activated. However, activating a UAV Tower also poses a risk that should be taken into account.

Once activated for $2,000 UAV Towers will provide UAV sweeps from the tower’s location. Here are the details you need to know:

  • An audible notification is broadcasted when one is activated
  • The icon for active towers will be visible in red on the Tac Map and overworld
  • Lasts 20 seconds per activation
  • Costs $2000 per activation
  • Able to be activated by another squad even if you have activated them already
  • Those activated by an opposing squad show a detection radius on the map

Warzone 2 Season 3 Redeploy Drones in Al Mazrah

Redeploy Drones will begin to leave Al Mazrah around the fourth circle.

Redeploy Drones made their debut in Warzone 2 on the Ashika Island map, and in Season 3 they’re making their way to Al Mazrah.

Redeploy Drones are perfect for players looking to reposition and get around Al Mazrah quickly. They can also be used to get out of a tricky situation. However, keep in mind that Redeploy Drones can be shot down.

While Season 3 brought a few map changes, the devs claimed that Warzone 2 players can expect brand-new POIs to further refresh the Al Mazrah map with the Season 3 Reloaded update.
